![]() Art McDermott, CSCS, CISSN, USAW Art is owner of Matrix Strength and Fitness, a private training center specializing in personal training, nutrition, fitness/physique transformations and sports preparation. Art has been involved with strength sports for over 25 years. During that time, he has participated in over 23 National and World Championships in three different sports, as well as 2 Olympic Track & Field Trials. Current highlights:
Art has authored multiple articles on various strength-related topics, having written for Milo Magazine, Powerlifting USA, the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Journal, Pure Power Magazine. Art recently co-authored the first science-based research on modified strongman training methods with low back expert Professor Stu McGill, Waterloo University, Canada published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He has also co-authored book “Applied Strongman Training for Sport” with world-renowned strength coach Charles Poliquin. |

Kelly Boyle, CSCS – Director of Operations
Kelly is a graduate from Siena College, a Division 1 program with a degree in Marketing Management. She attended on a Softball Scholarship has been in and around sports both coaching and playing for most of her life.
She grew up in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury High School where she was a 4-year varsity starter in Soccer, Basketball, and Softball. Since graduating she has spent time coaching at the high school level. Some Accomplishments include:
Most recently, Kelly received the honor of being voted “Athlete of the Decade” at Tewksbury High School.
Jeff LeBlanc BS CSCS- Head Trainer
Jeff is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. He was born and raised in Waltham, MA and attended Waltham High School. There he played golf, hockey and baseball and recognized as a league all-star in golf and awarded most dedicated player in baseball. He is a graduate of UMass-Lowell majoring in Exercise Physiology and a Nutrition minor. In addition, he played golf for UMass-Lowell his Freshman and Sophomore years. Jeff joined the Matrix team as an intern in the spring of 2010.
